The Eighty-Fifth Annual Convention will be held in Frankfort, Kentucky on September 27 – 29, 2012. Thanks to the Sixth District DWC and Carmen Hampton, Distict Director, for hosting this year's convention.
In this year of important elections, on both the local and national levels, it is critical for the Democratic women of Kentucky to support the candidates who reflect our values and who will fight for the issues which are central to the principles of the Democratic Party. Available and affordable health care, job creation including a living wage, fairness for all citizens, educating our children, and respect/care for the elderly are among the important issues that have been fundamental to the Democratic Party since its inception. Please join us as we discuss these and other issues facing our state and our country.
Executive Board Members, Club Presidents and Officers, Past State Presidents, Standing & Special Committee Chairwomen and individual Club Members are invited.
It is hoped that every club attending will bring a scrapbook and poster to enter in competition. Our theme remains: "Racing Forward with Democrats." Rules are in the Guidelines section of this web site and in the DWCKy handbook. Several State Officers will be elected at this convention.
