2008 Spring Board Meeting of the Democratic Woman's Club of Kentucky
The Spring Board meeting of the Democratic Woman’s Club of Kentucky will be held at the Ramada Inn, 624 James Trimble Blvd., Paintsville, Kentucky, 41240-1026, Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19, 2008
Room rates are $72.00 (plus applicable taxes). Please ask for the Democratic Woman’s Club block of rooms. The phone number is 1-606-789-4242. The rooms will be held until April 4, 2008.
A breakfast buffet will be held at the Ramada Inn at a cost of $15.00 per person. Registration to help defray the cost of the meeting room for those not eating breakfast will be $5.00. Please send reservations by April 11, 2008 to:

A hospitality suite is being hosted Friday, April 18, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
by the Johnson County DWCs. Details will be posted in the Ramada Inn lobby.
The Executive Board will meet in the President’s Room at 7:00 p.m.
on Friday, April 18, 2008. The breakfast will begin promptly at
8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.
All club members and guests are welcome along with any candidates and
Elected Officials.

Something New:
We would like to meet with all Club Presidents at 6:00 PM on Friday evening. Location will be posted in the hotel lobby.
Directions:
If you are traveling from Lexington take I-64 E toward Winchester/Ashland. Merge into Bert T. Combs Mountain Pkwy E via Exit 98 toward Campton/Prestonsburg. Bert T. Combs Mountain Pkwy E becomes E Mountain Pkwy and becomes KY-114/US-460. Turn left onto US-460. Turn slight right onto KY-321/KY-40. Turn left onto James S. Trimble Blvd and travel to 624 James Trimble Blvd. (hotel location)
Spring Basket Auction:
As a fundraiser for the state club, we are asking that each county club provide a Spring Basket to be auctioned off at the board meeting. Fill the basket with things for spring gardening or items popular from your county.
Golf Scramble:
DWCK will be hosting a golf scramble in Frankfort on Thursday, May 1, 2008. We are asking each club to make every effort to get participants for the tournament at $100 per person or hole sponsors at $100 per hole. We would also like for the clubs to help with prizes for the golf scramble or make contributions for purchasing prizes. If you have questions about prizes call Diane at 270 498-3423. Additionally, on the day of the golf scramble we will need club members to help with the tournament. If you have prizes for the golf scramble please bring these to the board meeting.
