NOTE: The recipient must be able to prepare, and present, a five (5) minute talk at the State Democratic Woman's Club Convention on:
a. Why I am a Democrat;
b. What are my aims and goals;
c. What the DWC scholarship means to me.

Sample Informational Bulletin
for Schools

What: Democratic Woman's Club of Kentucky's Scholarship to be awarded

Who: Graduating Senior, female or male, who plans to attnd an accredited Kentucky College, University, Nursing School, or Technical College/School, or Business School

Nominated by: County Scholarship Committees after the receipt and review of applications.

Selected by: Democratic Woman's Club of Kentucky Scholarship Committee

Requirements:

1. Two parents or guardians registered as Democrats
2. Leadership ability demonstrated through active paricipation in school clubs, extracurricular activies, and working on behalf of Democratic nominees in the General Election, e.g., working on behalf if Democratic nominees by registering voters, distributin literature, driving car, telephoning for Democratic nominees, and working at Democratic Headquarters before the General Election.
3. Must maintain a 3 point average or above
4. Must be a registered Democrat, or if not of age, must demonstrate intention of doing so by a notarized statement stiplulating the applicant will do so at the age of eligibility.
   
Deadline to Apply March 1
 
Notified by: Scholarship Committee(s) of the Local Democratic Woman's Club(s).
Local Club sponsor must review and add a letter of introduction to state file for competition.
